Current prayer  needs:
 - political situation
 - physical safety
 - finances for  ministries

Since 1992 the teams of NationaLight have been penetrating the kingdom of darkness with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The results today are established works in many cities and several house churches.

The House-Church Leadership in Russia

There is a tremendous work under the leadership of the house churches. We work discreetly but effectively from house to house, village to village. Their name are omitted for security reasons. Today we have over eight house church and we are growing. The year 2000 we are planning a tour to have special classes with our leaders and our pastors. Pray for the churches and pray for their safety as the political unrest in Russia continues to bring some insecurity. Our hopes this year was to start a school of ministry. We need to do this but we need help. More teachers and more finances to get the job done. This is a big task. Please call and let us know what you can do to help. Do it today while there is still time. Each day is very important. Every day that goes by the shadow of the last sunset over reaches grows longer.

Thousands of Bibles Have Been Distributed by NationaLight Team Members!

Many children have received their personal Bible for the very first time. They are excited to meet Dr. Mays and the NationaLight Team Members always have many questions. We are now being opposed in some schools to bring scripture, but we plan to continue as long as we can. There is still a need for a strong witness in the schools, colleges and orphanages. During the coming months we need to take as many teaching helps as possible. The best way to do this is to purchase them in the country. Can you help us by calling our office 888-840-2777 and sending a gift. Any size will help us do the work of the ministry.

Evangelizing the Streets

Much of the NationaLight ministry to Russia is literally on the streets of Russia. From St. Petersburg to the smallest village we have been right on the streets. Preaching, witnessing and Bible distribution. Here Brother Mays is preaching to a group gathered at a bus stop. This bus stop was in a Moslem community in a certain city in Russia.

Once on the streets where Brother Mays was singing and preaching, a certain young Russian man stood near watching. After the witness of the word in song and testimony the young man approached Brother Mays and scolded him for singing in public, songs about God. He made it very clear that he was offended by this demonstration. He continued by saying he wanted Brother Mays to answer some questions for him. Dr. Mays responded by telling him that he would be glad to answer any question he had if he would come to the crusade. Brother Mays promised the young man that after they would have a question and answer time one on one. This question and answer time would continue night after night for several nights. Finally after attending several meetings the young man became a believer and soon he was on the streets helping Brother Mays. God is Good!

Making New Friends

One of the many blessings is meeting more of the Body of Christ, Dr. Mays with a Russian Colonel a former communist now a brother in the work of the Lord. His name is omitted for security reasons. On one occasion the team had a strong desire to do a Bible distribution. They went to their favorite spot a public market to give away their Bibles. However on the arrival at the market to their surprise they found the entire area vacant and the market closed.

Feeling a bit defeated the team Bus driver spoke up and said that he thought he knew a place where they could distribute the Bibles. Hurriedly the team got back aboard their bus and off they went. Soon they found themselves at a train and station and oh to their joy boarding the train that day was and appeared to be the entire Russian Army. This of course this is an exaggeration but there were that day several hundred troops preparing to board the train. Quickly the teams moved through the soldiers as the stood there duffle bags in hand, soon each one had a Bible in hand and many began to read it right away. There is no way to know how many believed the written word as a result of this ministry.
