Brother's
In Christ Pastor Manoj and Dr. Mays enjoying some leisure time and fellowship. Brother
Mays first came to Thailand in 1996. Once he had encountered this wonderful
man of God, Brother Mays knew that a friendship had been made. As of today
NationaLight has traveled to Bangkok on three occasions the last being
October 1999. During each visit relationships are strengthened and more
doors are opened in this wonderful country and to the wonderful Thai people.
Pastor Manoj's church has a thriving congregation and a tremendous work among the people in his community. The congregation is filled with wonderful and dedicated Christians. Pastor, his wife and two children are faithful to the call of Christ in their lives. Three Amigos: Pastor Manoj, Pastor Anthony and Dr. Johnny Mays. The three met to discuss an outreach in Pastor Anthony's town in the year 2000. Pastor Anthony is a Malaysian man who pastor's a Thai church. He is also a very gifted musician. This network of ministry continues to grow and the NationaLight Ministry continue to find favor among the churches and peoples of Thailand. The sights and sounds of Bangkok is one of the greatest experiences of a lifetime. This city of over 10 million is filled with business. They say you can find something to eat in Thailand, 24/7, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Vendors of every trade line the sidewalks and streets selling their delicacies and wares. The skyline of Bangkok is like any major city of it's size in the world . The high rise office buildings and hotels stand proud to the testimony of a visionary Asia. Everywhere you turn you will see temples and shrines dedicated to the spirits and Buddha. If you are looking for bargains you have come to the right place. Because supply is no problem. The shopping malls and markets bustle with activity. Anything and everything you need or your heart desires can be found. Yet beneath the roar of the traffic and the sounds of business, throughout the city their is a cry which can be heard. It is the cry of the Holy Spirit, calling to the Thai people to turn their ear and hear a truth that will indeed make them free, The word Thai means free, so a Thai man takes pride in the idea that he is a free man. It seems at first that indeed this is the case, after all they have a king and a great country. Still, the cry continues to reverberate through the streets, "he that has the son is free indeed". Today millions of Thai people still have not heard the Bibles message of true freedom which silences the cry of their hearts. They know something is missing but they don't know what. Only the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ can quiet the heart and bring a true liberty which can be found by the presence of the Spirit of the Lord. As NationaLight continues to go to Thailand and work with these humble pastors and churches, we need the financial support of many who have never given to the mission work of NationaLight. Please call our office 888-840-2777 and help us take this Gospel of the Lord Jesus to this nation which is 98% Buddhist. |
